Seiko Instruments Micro Printer Division featured in inaugural industry ranking of point-of-sale printers.
TORRANCE, Calif. – July 19, 2006 – Seiko Instruments USA Inc., Micro Printer Division, announced its industry-leading line of receipt printers is honored in the current issue of Vertical Systems Reseller (VSR) magazine, a leading publication for resellers in the point-of-sale (POS) market.
This first-ever POS Leaderboard is the July 2006 issue cover story, featuring recent research on VSR subscribers who ranked POS hardware companies across six product categories and five criteria. Seiko Instruments Micro Printer Division is featured in the “Top 10 Receipt Printers” across all five criteria and the overall list.
“VSR readers were asked to evaluate a large pool of companies for the POS Hardware Leaderboard, but only the top ten — or in the case of touch screens and hand held/mobile devices, the top five — made their respective Leaderboard lists,” said Abigail Lorden, Editor, Vertical Systems Reseller. “Those that did rank demonstrate a superior ability to deliver on the litmus test of customer satisfaction, and are members of a very elite group of technology pioneers.”
The POS Leaderboard ranks vendors in six product categories: receipt printers, scanners, integrated POS systems, touchscreens and monitors, keyboards and cash drawers, and handheld and mobile POS devices.
Voters ranked the companies whose products they have either sold or implemented based on: product features and functionality, product innovation, product reliability, vendor support and service, and competitive pricing.
“We thank our resellers for this honor, which recognizes the superior quality, reliability, and affordability of Seiko Instruments POS printing solutions across-the-board,” said Bob Falco, SII Micro Printer Division Manager. “This is further confirmation of our total commitment to reseller channel and end-user needs in the POS marketplace.”
SII Micro Printer Division is a global leader in high-performance, high-reliability direct thermal printing solutions, with over 50 million units deployed worldwide.
